The Story:
- Ami makes a special picture for his mom and dad and shares it with them. They stop what they are doing to listen to what he has to share.
- Dolfi has a problem at school and raises his hand to ask the teacher for help. The teacher takes the time to talk with Dolfi about what he needs.
What We Learn:
- We can share what we have on our minds, and parents, teachers and other important adults want to hear what we have to say.
- It’s important to share our thoughts, both good and bad, with the adults who care about us.
Why it is Important:
- When Ami’s parents and Dolfi’s teachers stop what they are doing to listen to them, Dolfi and Ami learn that adults care to hear about their thoughts and feelings.
- Children need loving adults to listen to them and show them that they are important every day.
